- have capitals at the beginnings of sentences and for proper names
- have full stops at the end of sentences

Next steps: Try to put in some full stops as you write or you forget to put them in.
You could have written more about the time you went to the skating rink with Sabrina.

T2 Reading

In Term 2 we began with group reading then Mrs Small thought we could do lots of reading around the theme of Reptiles. We read lots of stories and used key words to pick out the important facts of what we read.
We then began an independent study of a particular reptile and had to find the following information.
1. The characteristics of the reptile.
2. The habitat.
3. How they looked after their young.
4. The life cycle of the reptile.
5. What it eats
6. Their predators
7. Other interesting facts
We then presented the information in a booklet form.

We learnt to control the ball by playing games like Sponge Bob Square Pants, Zombie tag and Rob the nest.
Then we played a game of four a-side without a goalkeeper.

  •  write a personal recount about something we have done or experienced

  • have an opening statement that tells who what and when

  • have a conclusion or personal response

Football

Last Thursday the 20th, Room 3 went on the field. On one side of the field was the girls and on the other side there was the boys. The girls played Hunters. This is how you play. Someone chooses the hunter and the rest of the children were possums. The hunter tried to get the possum's tail and if they do, they become a hunter. If you go out of the cones you automatically turn into a hunter. After Hunters, we played a real game of football. There were blue teams, yellow teams and even green teams. I was in the blue team with Emma and some people from another class like Room 4. I felt happy because we played football.

Teacher comment:
Well done for describing how you played the games. You have a good beginning, middle and ending to your story and I like the words you used like automatically and 'a real game'.
